Maka has a pretty nifty ability called Soul Perception. There's a description on the wiki, here.

Maka also has an "anti-magic" wavelength. This ability lets her destroy magic and purge evil. In LifeAftr her abilities are nerfed to a 50/50 chance at removing possession, and severe injury (not total destruction) of anyone possessing another person.

If there are any questions, ask me and we'll figure out how to mash canons together until they make sense.

Here's a handy-dandy form letter:

1. Do they have a soul? Yup.

2. What are they like? The Batter is cold and rarely smiles. He tends to cut to the chase in conversations often and Maka probably won't even need her Soul Perception to see that it's actually very unusual for the Batter to do things like laugh or cry and he's an unemotional man most of the time. The Batter is also not human, although canon doesn't go into much detail about what exactly he is. Long story short: he was created by a child and looks like "this" to people who have negative CR with him, but feel free to have fun with this form if you think Maka can see/sense it.

3. What does their soul feel like? Cold to start with but if Maka digs deep enough she'll find...nothing. While he does have some basic emotions they'll all on lockdown and there's not much else there. Strangely enough his soul may feel a lot younger then it appears, but that's the byproduct of being created by a small child.

4. Does your character eat innocent souls? Nope.

5. Does your character use magic? Kind of. The Batter has accesses to abilities known as Competences that allow him to use attack skills, elemental attacks, healing (your basic RPG set). They consume CP or Competences Points to use but I don't think that counts as energy.

6. Is your character "evil"? Speaking of complicated. The Batter is probably the most morality ambiguous of all the characters in OFF. Like many things in this game, I'd say it'd depend on how Maka looks at it? The Batter purified a world but he did it by destroying it and killed his own creator, which happened to be a defenseless child. Not good by any means but it wasn't something done out of pure malice either.

7. May Maka destroy/negate your character's magic? I'd say she can destroy his healing skills temporarily if it comes up but I don't know about the rest of his skills. They're on his application page if you want to check it out and we can hash out what can happen if it comes to that!
