Maka has a pretty nifty ability called Soul Perception. There's a description on the wiki, here.

Maka also has an "anti-magic" wavelength. This ability lets her destroy magic and purge evil. In LifeAftr her abilities are nerfed to a 50/50 chance at removing possession, and severe injury (not total destruction) of anyone possessing another person.

If there are any questions, ask me and we'll figure out how to mash canons together until they make sense.

Here's a handy-dandy form letter:

1. Do they have a soul? yes
2. What are they like? Lup's a high elf, she's a very powerful wizard (in her own reality, she's been hella nerfed here) and technically undead by way of being a lich, though she's in her regular alive body atm. Her soul would be... fiery. She's passionate, optimistic, warm and kind, impulsive, chaotic but controlled, cares fiercely, delights in destruction if it isn't harmful. She's also died a couple times, both before and after she learned how to turn lich.
3. What does their soul feel like? Hot?? Wild, but tethered to her twin brother Taako who is also on the island, like she would be unbalanced without him. She's been through a century and more of very harrowing experiences, but she's strongly bonded to Taako and others who aren't in this world, and that gives her the strength to hold on to who she is and her optimism. These bonds are especially vital for retaining her sanity whenever she does turn lich by being killed.
4. Does your character eat innocent souls? YOU COME INTO MY HOME AND ACCUSE LUP OF VORE (that's a no)
5. Does your character use magic? Hella magic! DnD magic is more a matrix or plane of magic that casters tap into and wield, but it does use up spell slots and as such their physical/mental energy.
6. Is your character "evil"? Chaotic good works well for Lup, she delights in unpredictability and makes sure to look out for herself most of the time, but she strongly cares about others and has a good sense of moral right and wrong, and will absolutely stand up for it.
7. May Maka destroy/negate your character's magic? Tentative yes if we discuss it first!
